Joining a Club

Find a club, join it (openly or by request), accept its waiver if it has one, and understand membership tiers.

Overview

Clubs run their own sessions, court bookings and message boards. Joining one is quick, but what happens next depends on how the club has set itself up.

Finding a club

Browse clubs from the Clubs page. Some clubs are private or members-only and won't show up in a public listing; you'd need an invite or direct link from the club to find those.

Joining an open club

Most clubs are open: selecting Join on the club's page adds you as an active member straightaway.

Club waivers

If a club has its own waiver, you'll be shown it before you can join and must agree to it. If the club later revises its waiver, members who accepted an earlier version are asked to review and accept the current one before taking on anything new that depends on it, such as registering for an event, booking a court, or being checked in. This never removes your membership or takes away anything you've already registered for, booked or paid for. You'll be prompted to accept on the club's page, and again at registration if you haven't yet.

Note

At the check-in desk, club staff can record your acceptance for you, based on a signature taken on paper, instead of you accepting on your own device.

Requesting to join an approval-based club

Some clubs require admin approval to join. Your request sits as pending until a club admin approves it, and the club's admins are notified as soon as it lands, so it does not wait for somebody to happen to look. A club can also issue an invite code that skips approval and joins you immediately.

Messaging a club

A club's page has an inbox where you can start a message thread with its staff. Every active admin of the club is notified when you write in, in the app and by email, and you are notified the same way when they reply. Club staff share one thread and one read state between them, so any admin can pick it up.

Membership tiers

Some clubs group members into named tiers (for example free, monthly, yearly or one-time). Tiers are set by the club, not chosen by you when you join: if a club offers paid tiers and you'd like to be on a different one, contact the club directly.
