Want to Host a Tournament?
What a hosting licence lets you do and how to get one.
Run your own tournament on The Drop
Licensed hosts run their own events on the same engine the platform itself uses: round robins and brackets, live scoring, standings, a TV display for the venue, and print-ready schedules. You control the field, the format, and the schedule; the platform does the maths.
How licences work, in short
- 1A licence is issued to your account by a Drop Admin, with payment settled off-platform. There is no self-service purchase yet.
- 2Licences are Single-Use (one tournament) or Multi-Use (a set number of uses you spend over time). A use is only burned when you complete a tournament.
- 3Each licence sets a player cap, a court cap, and a directory access tier that shapes how you add players to your events.
How to get started
Ask us. Open a ticket via Support telling us what you want to run (roughly how many players and when), or speak to a Drop Admin directly if you know one. Once a licence is on your account, the Host Portal appears in your menu and the full hosting guides unlock in this section.
Tip
Not sure yet? Join a few drops as a player first. The formats you will run as a host are the same ones you have already played.
